| Cott China Financial Controller SUMMARY This role will play a critical role in driving the operational success and support of the finance role in the international business by providing expert financial advice, including analysis of business opportunities, developing operational financial plans, establishing / maintaining business performance measurements as well as counsel and commercial coaching to the management team. Please visit our website at: www.cott.com THE PERSON: The Candidate must be a seasoned Financial and Business Partner from the Consumer Goods/Beverage or Food Industry with a track record of building businesses. Must also be results oriented and possess excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization including the Senior Leadership Team. Must be a high energy, passionate, lead by example executive with at least 15 + years of experience that includes at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. This executive must be incredibly driven, Business oriented and accountable and must assume complete ownership for delivering aggressive revenues, and new product introductions. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead Finance’s support of Chinas business working collaboratively with business partners to analyze business opportunities, develop functional plans and establish and measure key business drivers and performance measures • Provide finance data to the key senior management relationships required for effective business, influence and prepare information to enable effective decision making. • Assist in managing annual planning process including support of strategic planning efforts, development and analysis of initiatives/investment opportunities. • Support senior management team in establishing budgets and validation of assumptions for multi-year forecast • Oversee pricing function including evaluation of market competitiveness and profitability of all products and business lines • Lead and manage the process to identify, establish, and maintain appropriate performance measurement practices, including performance reporting and scorecards • In partnership with the business, establish process to identify and articulate business, industry and competitive trends/opportunities and means to analyze their implications from a financial perspective • Lead the development and implementation of financial tools that allow management to: make effective business decisions; better assess financial performance, capital requests and business development pipeline and acquisition activity. • Develop financial models that, although relatively complex, can deliver information that is easily understood and actionable. • Utilize broad financial experience in major projects and serve as the strategic financial point of contact. • Broad general accounting duties including financial statement preparation, modeling, planning and cost accounting as well as tax and company secretarial (advantageous). Skills Required: • Results oriented self-starter with strong organizational and follow through skills under limited time frames. • Highly motivated, independent and able to work on own initiative. • Flexible to changing priorities, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Exemplary skill in project management • Broad exposure to budgeting/forecasting, accounting, reporting, and overall financial control management • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to motivate/influence without direct reporting authority. • Excellent PC skills required (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) • Strong analytical approach to the business and a keen desire to develop and implement financial measurement tools that are embraced as key inputs to more effective and efficient decision-making. EDUCATION and Experience: • An undergraduate degree in Business emphasis on Accounting and Finance. • Advanced degree (MBA) is highly desirable. • 10-12 years of post graduate experience in a large, international organization (preferably consumer goods) progressive experience • Broad financial background in an international context COMPENSATION: Cott will offer an attractive compensation for this position consisting of a base salary, bonus, and Benefits.
