Manage a three-person Purchasing department,  to aid employees in sourcing suppliers for needed goods and services, enforce Genesys standards, negotiate discounts and other favorable terms for the company. In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limit):
 
  • Negotiate discounts, standard Genesys terms and other favorable items for Genesys in purchases, contracts, etc.
  • Convert approved employee purchase requests to actual purchase orders and issue to vendors
  • Manager two buyers to proactively work with and generate purchasing data reports for key internal customer departments such as Marketing, Engineering and WIS.
  • Manage corporate purchase card and employee credit card programs to enforce Alcatel-Lucent required controls yet provide an effective alternate means of paying for vendor goods and services.
  • Lead SAP changes and upgrades testing in the procurement area

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' purchasing experience, including outside Genesys, preferably in the high tech or services industries (vs. government for example)
