Responsibilities
ROLE & CONTEXT: To devise the strategy for PR, CSR and communication messages of the Telecom group. The PR & Communications Director will also be the public relations and media expert for the group and aligning all messages we communicate as a group to customers, investors, shareholders, analysts and the media. The PR & Communications Director will also be tasked to lead on the Group CSR strategy and initiatives for the International group. He/she will be working closely with all the PR/Communication functional groups at the Opco level and be responsible for cascading the same CSR strategy to the operating companies in their respective markets with some localization where necessary. Become the focal point for all PR, CSR and communications functional groups to centralize its messaging strategy and roadmaps as a group. The PR & Communications Director will work closely with the Sales & Marketing groups synergistically to maximize the value of PR versus paid advertising which can be extremely powerful. The PR & Communications Director will also work closely with Regulatory functional groups to ensure that our efforts work in tandem and that our PR & CSR activities support our Regulatory objectives and initiatives.

Profile Min. Experience & Essential Knowledge: Must be an industry expert in the area of PR, CSR and media strategy. Solid industry knowledge and good relations with media agencies and the regional press. Strong exposure in various developed markets so as to be able to instil the best practices in brand development strategies and ensure that Company’s brand equity is strengthened. Must have experience to build a resource centre and COE in PR, CSR & media agency management so as to add value to entire group. Minimum Entry Qualifications: 8 - 10 years proven experience in PR and communications. Able to demonstrate excellent team player traits with a proactive mind-set and has the ability to work across diverse markets and cultures. Excellent analytical & presentation skills. Fluent in English and Arabic is an absolute must.
