I am working as a RF Engineer for a MNC “ADA Cellworks Wireless Engineering Pvt. Ltd.” with its HQ on USA and branches in 9 countries giving consultancy services to the wireless telecom planning.
I am currently pursuing opportunities as an RF Network Planning & Optimization Engineer in the Wireless Service Provider Industry. During this period I used to play a key role for defining, development & planning of various telecom infrastructure solutions to GSM service providers.
My main job responsibilities include:
Ø RF Planning and Optimization
This includes planning of all BTS as well as BSS related parameters, frequency planning and defining adjacency for the new sites.
Radio Network Tuning of the network in Gujarat State (Baroda circle).
Optimizing of the sites till we achieve desired KPI’s as per set standards.
Studying of various reports generated for the sites as well as logs for any alarms in the site.
Ø Drive Test of the upcoming sites
In this part, we go ahead with physical verification of the site as per planned data, and to rectify any discrepancy if any. Analysis of drive test files for taking care of External and Internal Interference in the Network. This involves analysis of Rx Level, Rx Quality, replanning of RF parameters in problematic areas. Co-channel (C/I) and Adjacent channel (C/A) Interference analysis. Benchmarking for comparison of more than one network.
Ø Site Surveys for both in city (infill) and new town
Requires personal on field visit to low or no coverage area, and performing a survey of it and proposing a site to improve coverage.
New site planning in Existing cities depending on Drive test results, Customer Complaints
and capacity
This whole activity includes
(a) Identify the coverage whole or problematic area.
(b) Locate a search ring as per above details.
(c) Provide all RF details as Antenna Orientation, Height of the GSM antenna, and Type of antenna.
(d) Freeze the number of sites in new cities based on coverage area and projected subscriber base.
(e) Deciding Site Antenna specification for new sites.

Personal Skills and Qualities
Excellent Communication: I worked in Mobidata Pty Ltd as sales agent for American Express Credit Card (Part-time) and dealt face to face with the customer. Through all this experience, I learnt to listen carefully with passion and have developed excellent communication skill.
Teamwork: During my work I had to have constant interaction with other colleagues, where I had to regularly attend meeting. As part of my experience, I have participated actively in meeting and worked together with other colleagues.
